WAKERS MOTORCYCLE RIDING CLUB

Founded in IJmuiden and short WMRC is a motorcycle club from Holland.

History
WMRC started when two acquaintances with the same passion from two different motorcyclinggroups of friends met at a bikermeeting. Together they decided with some friends who also liked the idea to unite. And they continued riding together under the name 'WAKERS'.

Present
Along the years new members joined and the club has become a tight group of bikers. And to this day as we speak, we are still 'WAKERS' with a chapter in IJmuiden and since 2016 a chapter in Den Helder.

To join WMRC you're not tied to a brand. Everybody who rides a motorcycle can join our club. Even though our love for 2-cillinder bikes like the Harley-Davidson. As written before, WMRC is a motorcycling friends club where companionship, loyalty and trust are paramount. We ride regularly and by the growing number of members (male/female) and guest bikers in various group compositions. From our club garages in IJmuiden, Den Helder and our regular meetingpoints we ride on weekdays and weekends tour journeys. Multi-day trips abroad are also on the agenda.

The club name WAKERS ® and our logo refer to the striking bronze sculpture, the Fisherman memorial, at the head of the harbor in IJmuiden, the birthplace of five of the six founders. The colors yellow and blue that we use on our patches refer to the coat of arms and the flag of the Township of Velsen.

Who wants to know more, wants to join a club ride-out or will meet the club can mail us by Contact IJmuiden or Contact Den Helder on this site or call us.

Every Friday evening we tinker together in our club garages.

WAKERS IJMUIDEN (01-06-2013)

An ordinary biker, standing astride in water boots, his oilskin billowing in the wind that always blows in IJmuiden.

Looking over the road, day and night, year in year out, keeping the death-watch over those bikers who once rode from this port but never returned.
